WHY IT MATTERS
Sexual violence often continues where silence is normal.
Sexual violence often stays hidden. People don’t talk about it, don’t question it, and many simply don’t know what to do when it happens. Silence, fear, and cultural norms can end up protecting the violence instead of stopping it.
That’s why prevention matters. Communities need to understand what they’re seeing, feel confident to speak up, and have the right support systems in place to respond early—before more harm is done.
