To further our reach, we continued to recruit and train Parasocial Workers in Muduuma Town Council of Mpigi. Muduuma is a semi-urban township of about 35000+ people, surrounded by so much natural beauty.
On the 4th of August, 2022, thirty-two (32) members of the Village Health Teams representing the 32 Villages of Muduuma Town Council were trained and deployed to their villages as PSWs who would act as change agents in their community, shunning Child Marriages and any other cultural practices that promoted child sexual violence, they will also serve as immediate response agents of Totya Platform to cases of sexual violence in their villages.
With support from our partners, this training and the subsequent deployment of the parasocial workers goes a long way in the fight against Sexual Violence in our communities
