2. About Totya Platform
Totya Platform is a non-profit organisation based in Mpigi, Uganda, working to prevent sexual violence and support survivors.
The organisation provides emergency medical care after abuse to help prevent HIV and pregnancy, treats injuries and infections, provides trauma counselling, and supports survivors in pursuing justice.
The Website provides information about our work, programs, community initiatives, research, and opportunities for individuals and organisations to support our mission.
Programs and services described on this Website are primarily intended for individuals and communities within Uganda.
Accessing the Website from outside Uganda does not create eligibility for services provided by Totya Platform.
3. Eligibility
The Website is intended for individuals aged 18 years or older.
Individuals under 18 must only access the Website under the supervision of a parent, guardian, teacher, or responsible adult.

5. Safeguarding and Protection of Survivors
Totya Platform works with survivors of sexual violence and vulnerable communities.
Users must not publish, share, or distribute any information that could identify survivors without explicit consent.
Users must not attempt to identify or contact individuals referenced in survivor stories or case studies published on the Website.
Misuse of the Website that compromises the safety or dignity of survivors can result in removal of content and reporting to appropriate authorities.
6. Child Protection
Totya Platform maintains strict safeguarding standards for the protection of children.
The Website must not be used to:
- distribute content that harms or exploits children
- share identifying details of minors involved in sensitive cases
- request or distribute material involving child exploitation
Violations result in immediate removal and can be reported to law enforcement authorities.
7. Survivor Stories and Testimonials
Totya Platform publishes survivor stories or testimonials for advocacy and educational purposes while protecting the privacy and dignity of survivors.

- Narratives will be adapted or combined to preserve anonymity
Users must not attempt to identify or contact individuals referenced in such materials.
8. User Submissions
Users can submit information through contact forms, reporting forms, or other channels provided on the Website.
By submitting information you confirm that:
- the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- you have the right to share the information
- the information does not violate the rights or safety of others
Totya Platform reserves the right to remove or decline submissions.
9. Safeguarding Reports and Mandatory Reporting
The Website includes mechanisms for reporting safeguarding concerns and seeking assistance.
Information submitted through reporting forms on the Website is reviewed by authorised Totya Platform personnel. If a report indicates that a child or vulnerable person may be at risk of harm, Totya Platform will share relevant information with appropriate authorities in accordance with Ugandan law and its safeguarding responsibilities.
Reporting forms on the Website are intended for submitting information and may not receive immediate responses. Individuals seeking urgent assistance should use the Totya emergency hotline or the Police.
10. Whistleblowing and Misconduct Reporting
Totya Platform encourages the reporting of misconduct, safeguarding concerns, or unethical behaviour involving staff, volunteers, partners, or representatives.
Concerns can be reported through the secure reporting channels available on this Website.

Reports submitted through the Website are handled in accordance with Totya Platform’s Safeguarding Policy, Reporting Procedures, and Code of Conduct.
11. Emergency Support and Response
Totya Platform operates an emergency support hotline for survivors seeking urgent assistance.
If you require immediate support, please contact the nearest police station.
While Totya Platform strives to respond promptly to messages submitted through the Website, response times may vary depending on the availability of staff and operational conditions.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the Website including text, graphics, images, publications, videos, and logos is the property of Totya Platform unless otherwise stated.
Users can download or share materials for personal, educational, or non-commercial purposes provided that Totya Platform is credited.
Commercial use of any materials requires prior written permission.
13. Use of Totya Name and Branding
