Ending the silence to STOP sexual violence
Prevention is fundamental to our mission to combat sexual violence in Uganda. This approach aims to raise awareness, change attitudes, and ultimately end sexual violence; it is crucial in addressing the root causes of sexual violence and creating a culture that does not tolerate such abuses.
It focuses on engaging communities through advocacy, education, and awareness programs. By educating the public about the realities and consequences of sexual violence, we are dismantling the cultural stigmas and taboos that often lead to underreporting and continued victimisation.
The objective is not only to prevent sexual violence but also to empower communities with the knowledge and tools to respond effectively when it occurs.
